The BTP Construction Gallery

A Category 2 Historical Building
Summer’s Cottage renovation

A historical building renovation brings its own challenges, but Newell and BTP Construction were able to rejuvenate the building while bringing it up to today’s living standards. Once complete, the building went to auction and sold within days.

This build included stripping out the wall linings to add insulation, adding a new large bathroom, separate toilet,  laundry, and converting a back room into an office. A new kitchen was also added as well as new plumbing and electrical throughout.

Similar to other historical renovations, BTP successfully maintained the historic cottage feel but at the same time included modern techniques to allow a family comfortable modern living.

A Category 2 Historical Building
Dudley’s Cottage renovation

Dudley’s Cottage in Arrowtown, New Zealand, was originally built in the gold rush, in 1862. When purchased by the current owner, BTP Construction was brought on board to help restore and showcase the original infrastructure of the building. Working within the building restraints of a historical building restoration, BTP’s innovation showcased the history of the area while also modernizing the structure to allow the current day café to thrive.

Whenever possible, recycled materials were used in the build. After the demolition from the another historical building in the Wakatipu Basin, the Arthur’s Point Tavern, BTP gained access to some materials that will live on in Dudley’s Cottage.

A new home build with luxurious essentials
Queenstown Hill, Queenstown, New Zealand

This sought after location on Queenstown Hill, meant luxurious amenities were a must. The 320 square meter building contained five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, heated drive ways, surround sound throughout the house with iPod docking connection, and much more.  Once again Newell and BTP built with the importance of the view in mind; the finished product allowed for awe-inspiring vistas at every turn. The finishing features included extensive  stonework throughout the property, concrete bench tops and large oversize garage.

Another Duel Income Property. Three bed three bath split into two self-contained units

BTP Construction providing a turnkey home for an off shore investor.

As Newell built this himself to on sell he treated it as if it was his own and kept in mind a long term vision for low maintenance, quality finish to attract good tenants and to create a nice warm home.

This home is dual income with a one bedroom flat underneath a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom home.  This property is giving the owner great returns.

New Home on a Steep Site

Once again, Newell and BTP are taking on another steep section build.

This house has been designed for a difficult section with site restrictions and contours.

This home is a three bed three and a half bath home. A low maintenance finish will allow the clients to come and enjoy their property with out the hassle of having to do work around the home.

This property is currently being used for short term accommodation.

New build, double income home
Queenstown, New Zealand

Built on a small and steep site and taking advantage of the surrounding natural beauty, this build became a practical solution for increased rental return.  Entering the property from street level, there is a two bedroom one bathroom home upstairs. Underneath is a separate fully self contained unit.

BTP Construction designed this home with sunlight hours in mind. Extra insulation was installed to increase warmth and reduce heating costs during the colder Southern Alps winters. The exterior was constructed  corrugated iron (with cedar accents) decreasing the need for maintenance during four season weather patterns.

Two new turn key stand alone homes

BTP is developing a multi unit capable site in Fernhill Queenstown.

Both of the proposed homes have sold off the plans due to BTP Constructions reputation and past project that it has delivered.

The planning process is almost complete with plans being submitted to the local building authority for approval.

Construction will commence in late September and the project due for completion late March.
